Edits a typed value — text, numbers, measurements, dates, pickers, media. One element covers all 33 types, exactly as cnc-display does: set type and it brings the control, the formatting, the unit list and the validation with it. A type the element does not know is passed through as the native input’s DOM type, so type="search" still means what it always did.

Every row is two-way bound: the middle column is the canonical value the field wrote back to x-data, not the formatted string on screen — a duration shows “1d 2h 30m” and stores P1DT2H30M. value-type is still accepted as the older spelling of type.
